Glyphostoma purpurascens is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Clathurellidae.{{WRMS species|215091|Glyphostoma purpurascens (Dunker, 1871)||18 August 2011}}
Description
The color of the shell is rose-red to violaceous, with a central white band. The outer lip is 5-6 toothed within. The shell has a length of 5 mm.George Washington Tryon, Manual of Conchology vol. VI p. 298; 1884 (described as Clathurella purpurascens)
Distribution
This species occurs in the Indian Ocean along Madagascar.
