The Grand Alliance for National Unity (GANA; {{langx|es|Gran Alianza por la Unidad Nacional}}) is a political party in El Salvador. The party established itself on 16 January 2010{{cite web |work=El Diario de Hoy |url=http://www.elsalvador.com/mwedh/nota/nota_completa.asp?idCat=6351&idArt=4433701 |title=Gana firma acta de constitución como instituto político |date=16 January 2010 |accessdate=26 January 2012}} and was recognized by the Supreme Electoral Court of El Salvador on 19 May of the same year.

The majority of party members came from the Nationalist Republican Alliance (ARENA). Originally the defection from ARENA included 12 deputies in the Legislative Assembly, but this number has grown to 16. GANA ranks third in seats in the assembly with 11, after the FMLN's 31 and the ARENA's remaining 28.{{cite web |url=http://www.asamblea.gob.sv/pleno/representacion/por-grupos-parlamentarios |title=Representantes por Grupo Parlamentario |publisher=Legislative Assembly of El Salvador |accessdate=26 January 2012 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120204032445/http://www.asamblea.gob.sv/pleno/representacion/por-grupos-parlamentarios# |archive-date=4 February 2012 |url-status=dead }} There have been accusations of ARENA members being bought or blackmailed by the GANA party in order to secure them in their party.{{cite web|url=http://www.laprensagrafica.com/2014/08/06/cuatro-concejales-de-arena-se-pasan-a-las-filas-del-partido-gana-en-san-sebastian|title=San Sebastián será la capital por un día|publisher=}}{{cite web|url=http://www.laprensagrafica.com/2014/05/25/rigoberto-soto-se-pasa-a-gana|title=Soto denuncia presiones en interior ARENA|publisher=}}{{Cite web |url=http://www.laprensagrafica.com/el-salvador/politica/108388-diputado-samayoa-de-arena-se-pasa-a-gana.html# |title=Diputado Samayoa de ARENA se pasa a GANA |access-date=24 May 2015 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150524101052/http://www.laprensagrafica.com/el-salvador/politica/108388-diputado-samayoa-de-arena-se-pasa-a-gana.html# |archive-date=24 May 2015 |url-status=dead }} GANA has also been accused of multiple cases of corruption.{{Cite web |url=http://www.lapagina.com.sv/nacionales/101782/2014/12/05/ARENA-acusa-al-FMLN-y-GANA-de-preparar-fraude-para-elecciones-2015# |title=Diario digital de noticias de El Salvador |access-date=24 May 2015 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150524095602/http://www.lapagina.com.sv/nacionales/101782/2014/12/05/ARENA-acusa-al-FMLN-y-GANA-de-preparar-fraude-para-elecciones-2015# |archive-date=24 May 2015 |url-status=dead }}{{Cite web |url=http://www.elfaro.net/es/201310/noticias/13538/# |title=FMLN y Gana se oponen a que Ley contra Lavado de Dinero ejerza mayor control sobre políticos - el Faro |access-date=24 May 2015 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150524061906/http://www.elfaro.net/es/201310/noticias/13538/# |archive-date=24 May 2015 |url-status=dead }}{{cite web | url=http://www.elfaro.net/es/201103/noticias/3870/Cambalache-electoral-entre-FMLN-y-Gana.htm | title=Cambalache electoral entre FMLN y Gana }}

On 1 June 2019, Nayib Bukele under the banner of the GANA party became the first president of El Salvador since José Napoleón Duarte to come from outside of the two major political parties in El Salvador, the ARENA and FMLN. Bukele is also the first president to be elected while a part of GANA.
