Gvina levana ({{langx|he| גבינה לבנה}}), which means "white cheese" in Hebrew, also known as Israeli white cheese, is a soft, creamy, and tangy cheese that is popular in Israel. The cheese is made from cow's milk and has a texture similar to sour cream, but is less sour and less tangy. It is used in a variety of dishes in Israeli cuisine and is an important part of Israeli culture.{{cite book |last1=Rogov |first1=Daniel |title=The Ultimate Guide to Israeli Wines |date=2005 |publisher=Gefen Publishing House}}{{page needed|date=March 2023}}{{cite book |last1=Solomonov |first1=Mike |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=7GVwDwAAQBAJ |title=Israeli Soul: Easy, Essential, Delicious |last2=Cook |first2=Steven |date=2018 |publisher=HMH |isbn=9780544970373}}{{page needed|date=March 2023}}{{cite book |last1=Atlas |first1=Gil |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=dJ90zwEACAAJ |title=The New Middle Eastern Vegetarian: Modern Recipes from Veggiestan. |date=2012 |publisher=Bloomsbury Publishing |isbn=9781623717667}}{{page needed|date=March 2023}}{{cite news |title=Foodies Unite: Best Cheese to Try in Israel |url=https://www.haaretz.com/food/.premium-foodies-unite-the-best-cheeses-to-try-in-israel-1.5362832 |access-date=29 March 2023 |agency=Ha'aretz |publisher=Ha'aretz}}{{cite web |title=Artisan Cheese in Israel |url=https://www.moag.gov.il/agri/English/Marketing/Processed%20food%20and%20beverages/Pages/Cheese.aspx |website=Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development |access-date=29 March 2023}}

Gvina Levana has been a staple of Israeli cuisine for over 50 years. It was first introduced by the Tnuva dairy company in the 1960s as a new type of cheese that could be easily spread on bread or crackers. Today, Gvina Levana is produced by several different companies and is widely available in supermarkets and grocery stores throughout Israel.{{cite book |last1=Schreiber |first1=Anne |title=The Ultimate Guide to Kosher Cheese |date=2010 |publisher=Universe Publishing}}{{page needed|date=March 2023}}
