History

  • 1906: Hamanaka Village is formed.
  • 1963: Hamanaka Village becomes Hamanaka Town.
  • 1985: Hamanaka becomes the shooting scenes for the classic Japanese movie Koneko Monotagari, later the English version The Adventures of Milo & Otis, which is re-released in 1989 and narrated by Dudley Moore.
