Hermanus Jacobus Kriel (14 November 1941{{snd}}5 July 2015) was the first Premier of the Western Cape province. Kriel served as premier from 11 May 1994 to 11 May 1998 as a member of the National Party. Kriel was married to Anna-Mari (née Jooste).
