The title is a play on the Cheap Trick record In Color.[http://www.europunk.net/interviews/209 ] {{webarchive |url=https://web.archive.org/web/20090107045304/http://www.europunk.net/interviews/209 |date=January 7, 2009 }} The album is somewhat darker than Mustard Plug's previous work. Bassist Rick Johnson attributes this to the sorry state of affairs in the US: "Not just the war but, the whole way government has turned in the past twenty years. Things seem pretty bleak and I think that feeling had a lot to do with the writing of the record."{{cite web|url=http://www.drivenfaroff.com/2007/09/12/mustard-plug-interview-august-25-2007/ |title=Mustard Plug Interview – August 25, 2007 |publisher=Driven Far Off |date= |accessdate=2012-02-24}}
