Composition and reception

"Invincible" is a pop rock song with a duration of three minutes and forty-three seconds and an anthemic message of staying strong – or "invincible" – and rising above life's challenges. Francois Marchand of The Vancouver Sun described the song as "a positive-minded, empowerment-driven kind of song" that is indicative of the more mature themes explored on this album.{{cite web|last1=Marchand|first1=Francois|title=Interview: Dark and Stormy Hedley|url=https://vancouversun.com/Interview+Dark+Stormy+Hedley/5681251/story.html|website=The Vancouver Sun|publisher=Postmedia Network|date=November 9, 2011|access-date=December 27, 2023|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20171005052157/https://vancouversun.com/Interview+Dark+Stormy+Hedley/5681251/story.html|archivedate=October 5, 2017}} In the first week of the release, it sold over 14,000 copies.{{cite web|url=https://toronto.citynews.ca/2011/11/08/hedley-gets-serious-in-4th-album-storms/|title=Hedley gets serious in 4th album 'Storms'|website=CityNews|date=November 8, 2011|access-date=June 9, 2021}}
