The Iron Clad Building is a landmarked building in Cooperstown, New York.Wednesday, May 16, 2007, Bogardus Building Landmarked; one of only 5 remaining Bogardus designed Structures in US [https://www.loc.gov/resource/hhh.ny0643.photos] It was built in 1862 by James Bogardus, the pioneer of cast iron architecture.Margot Gayle, Cast Iron Architecture in America, Dover Books, 1974, p. 236 It is a contributing building to the Cooperstown Historic District.
