Jan Balet (1913 – 2009) was a painter, graphic artist and illustrator, known for his naive style

Balet was born on 20 July 1913 in Bremen, Germany.{{cite web |title=Balet, Jan |url=https://www.degruyter.com/database/AKL/entry/_10102322/html |website=AKL Online |access-date=27 March 2025 |language=en}} He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich. He emigrated to the United States in 1938 and bean a career in commercial art in New York City. For a time he was the art director for Mademoiselle magazine.{{cite web |title=Jan B. Balet died on 31 January 2009 in Estavayer-le-Lac, Switzerland.
