Early life

Career
Sandher graduated with a PhD in Political Economy from King’s College London in 2022.{{cite web |title=King's alumnus wins seat at UK general election |url=https://www.kcl.ac.uk/news/kings-alumnus-wins-seat-at-uk-general-election |website=King's College London - News |publisher=King's College London |access-date=6 July 2024 |date=5 July 2024}} Prior to that he was awarded an MSc in Economic Development and Policy Analysis and a BA in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Nottingham. He now leads the economics team at the New Economics Foundation.{{cite web |title=DR JEEVUN SANDHER |url=https://neweconomics.org/profile/jeevun-sandher |website=New Economics Foundation |publisher=New Economics Foundation |access-date=5 July 2024}} Before undertaking his doctorate, Sandher worked in Somaliland as an economist in the Ministry of Finance. He has also had roles in HM Treasury, and the Department for Work and Pensions, where he advised on budgeting, macroeconomic policy, inequality, poverty and social security. Political career

Personal life
