John Edward Bollington, also known as Jan Bollington (born 1892) was an English football player and coach.
Career
Born in Belper, Bollington played in the Football League for Southend United and Brighton & Hove Albion.{{cite book|author=Michael Joyce|title=Football League Players' Records 1888 to 1939|year=2002|page=28}} He joined Southend in August 1919 from the Army, leaving them in September 1920 to sign for Brighton.{{cite web|url=http://www.sufcdb.co.uk/profile.php?p=10|title=SUFCdb – Player Profile|website=www.sufcdb.co.uk|access-date=9 May 2018|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170801001629/http://www.sufcdb.co.uk/profile.php?p=10|archive-date=1 August 2017|url-status=dead}} He suffered a broken leg during an FA Cup match against Cardiff City while attempting to tackle opposition forward Jimmy Gill.
