Early life and education

Salmond was born in Dunedin, the eldest daughter of architect Louis Salmond.{{cite news |url=https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers/ODT19460506.2.2.4 |title=Deaths |date=6 May 1946 |work=Otago Daily Times |issue=26144 |page=1 |access-date=7 January 2023}} She studied at the Dunedin Art School (now Otago Polytechnic). Career

Salmond worked primarily with watercolour. She exhibited with:
