Kurt Coleman (born July 1, 1988) is an American former professional football player who was a safety in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes and was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL draft.
Early life

College career
Coleman played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes. At a spring practice during his first year, Coleman tackled wide receiver Tyson Gentry. Gentry became paralyzed. He made his professional regular season debut in the Philadelphia Eagles' season-opener against the Green Bay Packers and recorded two solo tackles in their 27–20 loss. Personal life
Coleman co-founded the Ohio State chapter of Uplifting Athletes. Coleman's father, Ron, was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2006. Ron was an assistant principal at Walter E. Stebbins High School in Riverside, Ohio.
