Lamprochromus is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It is generally placed in the subfamily Sympycninae, though a molecular phylogenetic analysis of the family Dolichopodidae by Germann et al. (2011) suggested that the genus should be placed in the subfamily Rhaphiinae.{{cite journal|first1=C.|last1=Germann|first2=M.|last2=Pollet|first3=C.|last3=Wimmer|first4=M.V.|last4=Bernasconi|year=2011|title=Molecular data sheds light on the classification of long-legged flies (Diptera : Dolichopodidae)|journal=Invertebrate Systematics|volume=25|issue=4|pages=303–321|doi=10.1071/IS11029}}
