Lampropelma is a genus of Indonesian tarantulas that was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1892.{{cite book| last=Simon| first=E| year=1892| title=Histoire naturelle des araignées| publisher=Roret | publication-place=Paris| doi=10.5962/bhl.title.51973| url=https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/bibliography/51973| author-link=Eugène Simon}} {{as of|2020|03}} it contains two species, found in Indonesia.

Diagnosis

They can be distinguished from Phormingochilus and Omothymus though to the apical swelling of the embolus, which then narrows to a point in the apex.
