Production

The design was initially built by Barney Lehman and then by his company PlastiGlass in the United States, starting in 1948. It was also built by W. D. Schock Corp, starting in 1956, after buying out PlasticGlass, but it is now out of production.{{cite web|url= https://sailboatdata.com/builder/schock-wd|title= Schock W.D.|access-date= 24 July 2022|last= McArthur| first= Bruce |work= sailboatdata.com|year= 2022|archive-url= https://archive.today/20200718211515/https://sailboatdata.com/builder/schock-wd|archive-date= 18 July 2020|url-status= live}}{{cite web|url= https://sailboat.guide/schock|title= Schock W.D.|access-date= 24 July 2022|author= Sea Time Tech, LLC|work= sailboat.guide|year= 2022|archive-url= https://archive.today/20211223180511/https://sailboat.guide/schock|archive-date= 23 December 2021|url-status= live}}{{cite web|url= https://wdschockcorp.com/about-us|title= About Us|access-date= 24 July 2022|author= W. Design

The Lehman Interclub is a racing sailing dinghy, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim. It has a stayed catboat rig, a plumb stem and transom, a transom-hung rudder controlled by a tiller and a retractable daggerboard. It displaces {{convert|105|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}}.

The boat has a draft of {{convert|3.00|ft|m|abbr=on}} with the daggerboard extended and {{convert|4|in|cm|abbr=on}} with it retracted, allowing operation in shallow water, beaching or ground transportation on a trailer or car roof.

Operational history

The design was used for a US-Mexico regatta that was held in Acapulco in February, 1952 and which included sponsorship from the Mexican government.{{cite web|url= https://books.google.com/books?id=14LkaWouJW8C&pg=PA78|title= Westward Ho!|access-date= 22 September 2022|last= Robinson|first= Robbie|work= Motor Boating|date= March 1952}}

The August 1963 issue of Motor Boating and Sailing noted that the boat was being "widely used for intercollegiate racing" on the American west coast at that time.{{cite web|url= https://books.google.com/books?id=ZqvwDZp4ZVMC&pg=PA40|title= Some Terrific Pacific Dinks|access-date= 24 July 2022|author= JH Dyer|work= Motor Boating and Sailing|date= August 1963}}
