This is a list of public artworks in Philadelphia. The Association for Public Art estimates the city has hundreds of public artworks;{{Cite web |title=Virtually Explore Philly's Public Art |url=https://www.associationforpublicart.org/explore/public-art/#list/all/ |access-date=2024-11-18 |website=Association for Public Art |language=en-US}} the Smithsonian lists more than 700.[http://siris-artinventories.si.edu/ipac20/ipac.jsp?session=132547696U3Y2.33278&profile=ariall&uri=link=3100008~!182369~!3100001~!3100002&aspect=Browse&menu=search&ri=8&source=~!siartinventories&term=Outdoor+Sculpture+--+Pennsylvania+--+Philadelphia&index=OBJEC SIRIS Inventory] Search "Object type browse" and "Outdoor Sculpture – Pennsylvania – Philadelphia" Since 1959 nearly 400 works of public art have been created as part of the city's Percent for Art program, the first such program in the U.S.{{cite web|title=Percent for Art Program|url=http://www.phila.gov/pra/PDFs/Program_Intro.pdf|publisher=Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority|access-date=December 1, 2012}}
This list contains only works of public art in outdoor public spaces, and not, for example, works inside museums. Most of the works mentioned are sculptures.
Most monuments to historical figures are of men. Of about 1,500 city-owned statues and public monuments, just four are of real women.{{Cite news |date=Mar 20, 2023 |title=Philly doesn't put women on pedestals |work=Axios |url=https://www.axios.com/local/philadelphia/2023/03/20/philadelphia-womens-monuments-public-art}}
