Facilities

Many of LungA School's buildings and facilities are co-opted from local industry, either occupying spaces underused outside of Seyðisfjörður's busy tourist season or redeveloping spaces vacated by changes to the local fishing industry.{{Cite web|url=https://skemman.is/bitstream/1946/39311/1/VikramPradhan_MA2020.pdf|title=Keepers Of Light: History and Speculations on the future of Icelandic Lighthouses|website=skemman.is|language=en-GB|access-date=4 May 2024}}{{Cite web|url=https://leguesswho.com/news/COSMOS-Iceland-Embassy-SCR-LungA-School|title=The Hidden Artist Refuge in Remote Iceland|website=leguesswho.com|language=en-GB|access-date=27 June 2025}} Part of the school is also based in the Herðubreið Community and Culture House, upstairs from the Herðubíó, East Iceland's only cinema and host to the Flat Earth Film Festival, an annual film festival of experimental art film.{{cite news |author1=Iryna Zubenko |title=Inside Iceland’s Most Remote Cinema |url=https://grapevine.is/icelandic-culture/2024/08/16/inside-icelands-most-remote-cinema/|accessdate=17 August 2024 |date=16 August 2024}}
