Lysá hora ({{IPA|cs|ˈlɪsaː ˈɦora}}; {{langx|pl|Łysa Góra}}; {{langx|de|Lysa-berg, Kahlberg}}; {{langx|szl|Gigula}}) is the highest mountain of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids range in the Czech Republic and also of the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia. It is one of the rainiest places of the country with an annual precipitation of over {{convert|1500|mm|in|-1|abbr=on}}. It is the 26th highest mountain in the country.
Etymology
The name means 'bald mountain'; the name came from the fact that Lysá hora had no trees. Climate
Lysá hora's climate is classified as subarctic climate (Köppen Dfc; Trewartha: Eolo). Among them, the annual average temperature is {{Convert|3.7|C}}, the hottest month in July is {{Convert|13.2|C}}, and the coldest month is {{Convert|-5.1|C}} in January. The annual precipitation is {{Convert|1459.3|mm}}, of which July is the wettest with {{Convert|199.9|mm}}, while February is the driest with only {{Convert|88.1|mm}}, it is one of the few areas in the Czech Republic where the average annual precipitation exceeds {{Convert|1000|mm|2}}. The average annual snowfall reaches {{Convert|473.1|cm}}, of which the average monthly snowfall from December to March of the following year reaches {{Convert|80|cm}}. The extreme temperature throughout the year ranged from {{Convert|-30.9|C}} on 9 February 1956 to {{Convert|29.5|C}} on 8 August 2013.

Tourism
Today, the mountain is also a small ski resort and a popular place for hiking in summer, attracting casual hikers, and fans of Nordic walking, running, cross-country skiing, and alpine skiing. It is one of the most visited places in the Beskids.
