On 19 October 2024, local protestors attacked MBC's offices in Baghdad after the channel aired a report labeling Palestinian militants as "terrorists." An Iraqi law maker criticized the broadcast and pledged to push for the cancellation of MBC's license in Iraq.{{cite news|title=Pro-Iran protesters storm office linked to Saudi TV channel in Iraq |date=19 October 2024 |url=https://www.voanews.com/a/pro-iran-protesters-storm-office-linked-to-saudi-tv-channel-in-iraq/7828711.html |access-date=20 October 2024}}
