Distribution

Metapenaeus dalli is found in the Indo-west Pacific, around the west coast of Australia and Indonesia. Interest to fisheries

Metapenaeus dalli is of minor interest to fisheries, but sometimes caught with handnets in estuaries of Western Australia.
