The Motherland Party ({{langx|tr|Anavatan Partisi}}, abbreviated as ANAP) is a political party in Turkey. It claims to be the heir of the Motherland Party founded in 1983 by Turgut Özal, which dissolved in 2009. In the September of 2011 a party of the same name was founded. Its current president is İbrahim Çelebi.
History
On 11 September 2011, the party was re-established, with the same ideology as the first organization. Its current president is İbrahim Çelebi.
On 9 March 2023, a pro-Erdoğan journalist, Mahmut Övür claimed that ANAP will join the People's Alliance.{{Cite web |last= |first= |date=2023-09-03 |title=Sabah yazarı duyurdu: Cumhur İttifakı'na iki sürpriz parti katılıyor |url=https://www.gazeteduvar.com.tr/sabah-yazari-duyurdu-cumhur-ittifakina-iki-surpriz-parti-katiliyor-galeri-1607359 |access-date=2023-03-09 |website=Gazete DuvaR |language=tr-TR}}{{Cite web |title=Cumhur İttifakı'na iki parti daha katılıyor iddiası |url=https://www.cumhuriyet.com.tr/turkiye/cumhur-ittifakina-iki-parti-daha-katiliyor-iddiasi-2059221 |access-date=2023-03-09 |website=Cumhuriyet |language=tr}} Eventually, ANAP decided to support Sinan Oğan instead.
