NGC 60 is an Sc type spiral galaxy in the Pisces constellation. It was discovered on 2 November 1882 by Édouard Stephan.{{cite web | url = https://cseligman.com/text/atlas/ngc0a.htm#60 | title = NGC{{nbsp}}60 | last = Seligman | first = Courtney | website = Celestial Atlas | access-date = 26 August 2024 }}
NGC 60 is noticed for its unusually distorted spiral arms, which are commonly due to gravitational effects of neighboring galaxies, but there are no galaxies around NGC 60 to allow this.{{Cite web|url=http://cseligman.com/text/atlas/ngc0a.htm|title=New General Catalog Objects: NGC 50 - 99|website=cseligman.com|language=en-US|access-date=2017-09-18}}
Two supernovae have been observed in NGC 60: SN 2020yz (19.6 mag) and SN 2023zba (type IIP, mag. 18.8).[https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2023zba Transient Name Server entry for SN 2023zba.] Retrieved 11 December 2023.{{Cite web |title=2020yz {{!}} Transient Name Server |url=https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2020yz |access-date=2025-01-02 |website=www.wis-tns.org}}
