Golts represented Russia at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed for the women's 55 kg class. She defeated Azerbaijan's Yelena Komarova in the preliminary round of sixteen, before losing out the quarterfinal match to Japanese wrestler and defending Olympic champion Saori Yoshida, who was able to score six points in two straight periods, leaving Golts with a single point.{{cite web|title=Women's Freestyle 55kg (121 lbs) Quarterfinal Official|url=http://www.2008.nbcolympics.com/wrestling/resultsandschedules/rsc=WRW255302/index.html|publisher=NBC Olympics|access-date=3 January 2013|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120821014335/http://www.2008.nbcolympics.com/wrestling/resultsandschedules/rsc=WRW255302/index.html|archive-date=21 August 2012|url-status=dead}}{{cite news|title=Yoshida defends wrestling gold in Beijing|url=http://www.japantimes.co.jp/text/so20080817a1.html|publisher=Japan Times Online|date=17 August 2008|access-date=3 January 2013}} Because her opponent advanced further into the final match, Golts offered another shot for the bronze medal by entering the repechage bouts. Unfortunately, she was defeated in the first round by Sweden's Ida-Theres Nerell, with a three-set technical score (1–0, 0–3, 1–0), and a classification point score of 1–3.{{cite web|title=Women's Freestyle 55kg (121 lbs) Repechage Round 2 Official|url=http://www.2008.nbcolympics.com/wrestling/resultsandschedules/rsc=WRW255351/index.html|publisher=NBC Olympics|access-date=3 January 2013|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120821011804/http://www.2008.nbcolympics.com/wrestling/resultsandschedules/rsc=WRW255351/index.html|archive-date=21 August 2012|url-status=dead}}
