History

The moshav was formed in 1951 by immigrants from Romania, and was initially called Kfar Yarkanim ({{langx|he|כפר ירקנים||Greengrocer Village}}).[http://www.neveyarak.org.il/html/history.htm History] Neve Yarak {{in lang|he}}

It is located partly on land that had belonged to the Palestinian village of al-Muwaylih prior to its depopulation in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, and partly on land which used to belong to Jaljuliya.{{Citation|title=All That Remains: The Palestinian Villages Occupied and Depopulated by Israel in 1948|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=_By7AAAAIAAJ|first1=Walid|last1=Khalidi|authorlink=Walid Khalidi|year=1992|location=Washington D.C.|publisher=Institute for Palestine Studies|ISBN=0-88728-224-5|page=251}}

Neve Yarak Winery was founded in 2015. The wine produced here is exclusively from Carignan grapes planted many decades ago,[https://winesisrael.com/en/5201/the-honorary-israeli/ THE HONORARY ISRAELI] but had not been used to make wine until recently.[https://odessa-journal.com/wineries-northern-israel/ The best wineries to visit in Northern Israel]
