New Bandon-Salmon Beach was a local service district in New Brunswick, Canada. It was merged into the rural district of {{ill|Chaleur (rural district)|lt=Chaleur|fr|Chaleur (district rural)}} on 1 January 2023,{{cite web |title=Chaleur rural district: RD 3 |url=https://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/corporate/promo/local-governance/maps/RD3.html |website=Government of New Brunswick |access-date=23 March 2023}} with a small area now part of the city of Bathurst.
New Bandon was named after the town of Bandon in Ireland. It was located {{cvt|12|km|mi}} east of the city of Bathurst, New Brunswick on Nepisiguit Bay.
History
New Bandon-Salmon Beach was located on the historical territory of the Mi'kmaq people. The seigneurie of Nepisiguit, containing the area that would become New Bandon-Salmon Beach, was ceded to France on 19 March 1691.{{Cite map |last=Ganong |first=William |author-link=William Francis Ganong |url=https://archive.org/details/cihm_12510/page/n119/mode/2up |title=A monograph of historic sites in the province of New Brunswick |year=1899 |at=Map 39}} The community of New Bandon was founded in 1819 by 70 Protestant families from Bandon, County Cork in Ireland.{{sfn|Ganong|1904|p=153}} New Bandon was touched by the 1825 Miramichi fire, which consumed approximately {{cvt|16000|km2|mi2}} of forest in northeastern New Brunswick.{{sfn|Webster|1942|pp=61-62}} Salmon Beach was also founded by Irish immigrants between 1820 and 1830.{{sfn|Ganong|1904|p=170}} The parish of New Bandon was established in 1831.{{sfn|Ganong|1904|p=153}}

In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, New Bandon-Salmon Beach had a population of {{#expr:487+345}} living in {{#expr:228+165}} of its {{#expr:280+232}} total private dwellings, a change of {{percentage|{{#expr:{{#expr:487+345}}-{{#expr:459+354}}}}|{{#expr:459+354}}|1}} from its 2016 population of {{#expr:459+354}}.
