Ngô Thị Phương Ly (born 1960 in Hanoi) is a Vietnamese journalist who briefly served as the informal First Lady of Vietnam in 2024.

Biography

Madame Ngô Thị Phương Ly{{NoteTag|Born name in the identity card.}} was born in 1960 in Hanoi. Because Madame Ly belongs to a family with a reputation in the artist world, from the beginning, she and the three siblings were directed by her father for the art path. While eldest sister Ngô Thị Phương Lan soon became the director of the Vietnam Film Department, Madame Ly studied to become a professional painter. However, in the end, she did not continue to compose paintings but became a host of Vietnam Television.

She is the second wife of General Tô Lâm, who has been the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam - the highest position in the Politics of Vietnam since late 2024. Before Tô Lâm's marriage to Ngô Phương Ly, he had been in a marriage with another woman but then divorced.
