North-East Union
The North-East Union (Unione Nord-Est) was a Venetist political party active in Veneto.
The party was formed in 1996 by splinters from Liga Veneta–Lega Nord led by Adriano Bertaso, a regional councillor.Francesco Jori, Dalla Łiga alla Lega. Storia, movimenti, protagonisti, Marsilio, Venice 2009, p. 94 In the 1996 general election the party won 2.0% of the vote for the Chamber of Deputies, by running only in the Verona–Padua–Vicenza–Rovigo constituency (3.4%),[http://elezionistorico.interno.it/liste.php?tp=C&dt=21/04/1996&cta=I&tpEnte=I&tpSeg=C&numEnte=7&sut1=7&sut2=0&sut3=0&descEnte=%20Circoscrizione:%20VENETO%201&descArea=&codTipoSegLeader= Ministry of the Interior – Historical Electoral Archive] and 2.6% for the Senate.[http://elezionistorico.interno.it/liste.php?tp=S&dt=21/04/1996&cta=I&tpEnte=R&tpSeg=C&numEnte=5&sut1=5&sut2=0&sut3=0&descEnte=%20Regione:%20VENETO&descArea=&codTipoSegLeader= Ministry of the Interior – Historical Electoral Archive] In 1999 Bertaso led the Union into the Liga Veneta Repubblica (LVR) of Fabrizio Comencini, but soon after left it and re-organized his party, which is currently a minor political force in Veneto.
In the 2004 provincial election the party was revived and won 1.9% of the vote in Verona.http://amministrative.interno.it/amministrative/amm090621/P089.htm {{Dead link|date=March 2022}}{{Cite web | url=http://www.comune.verona.it/Elezioni/eu_prov_2004/Provinciali/index.html | title=404 - File or directory not found}} In 2009 the UNE gained 1.8%.
In the 2010 regional election the party supported the candidacy of Antonio De Poli (UDC) for President. The UNE logo was used as common symbol of the joint Venetist list formed by the UNE, North-East Project (PNE), Liga Veneta Repubblica (LVR) and Venetian Agreement (IV).{{cite web |url=http://www.asca.it/news-REGIONALI__ACCORDO_IN_VENETO_TRA_UDC_E_UNIONE_NORDEST-889524-ORA-.html |title=REGIONALI ACCORDO IN VENETO TRA UDC e UNIONE NORDEST - Agenzia di stampa Asca |accessdate=2010-02-07 |url-status=dead |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20110716235808/http://www.asca.it/news-REGIONALI__ACCORDO_IN_VENETO_TRA_UDC_E_UNIONE_NORDEST-889524-ORA-.html |archivedate=2011-07-16 }} The list won 1.5% of vote regionally, with peaks of 1.9% and 1.8% in the provinces of Treviso and Belluno, and Mariangelo Foggiato (PNE) was elected to the Council.{{cite web |url=http://regionali.interno.it/regionali/regio100328/R05.htm |title=Regione VENETO Elezioni Regionali del 28 - 29 marzo 2010 - Risultati elettorali - Ministero dell'Interno |accessdate=2010-04-21 |url-status=dead |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20100331121659/http://regionali.interno.it/regionali/regio100328/R05.htm |archivedate=2010-03-31 }}

In the run-up of the 2015 regional election the PNE, the LVR and other Venetist parties formed a joint list named Independence We Veneto, a sort of re-edition of 2010's UNE, but with a separatist platform and in support of Luca Zaia, incumbent President of Veneto and candidate of Liga Veneta–Lega Nord.{{Cite web | url=http://www.ilgazzettino.it/NORDEST/TREVISO/elezioni_regione_veneto_zaia_comencini_foggiato/notizie/1312771.shtml |title = Foggiato e Comencini con Zaia: Gli autonomisti tornano a casa Lega}}{{Cite web | url=http://www.venetouno.it/notizia/44153/comencini-e-foggiato-ancora-insieme-a-luca-zaia |title = Comencini e Foggiato Ancora Insieme a Luca Zaia}}{{Cite web | url=http://www.miglioverde.eu/noi-veneto-indipendente-ufficializza-lalleanza-con-zaia/ |title = Noi Veneto Indipendente Ufficializza l'Alleanza Con Zaia|date = 22 April 2015}} The UNE joined forces with Flavio Tosi, a former leader of Liga Veneta, and his Tosi List for Veneto instead,{{Cite web | url=http://mattinopadova.gelocal.it/padova/cronaca/2015/05/02/news/elezioni-regionali-a-padova-presentate-19-liste-1.11346147 |title = Diciannove liste per i sei candidati governatore|date = 2 May 2015}} but obtained a mere 0.6% of the vote and no seats in the Council.
