History

Northcross Intermediate School was first opened on 1 February 1970.{{Cite web|date=4 November 1999|title=Celebration at Northcross Intermediate.|url=https://natlib.govt.nz/records/44366473|access-date=12 November 2021|website=North Shore Times Advertiser|language=en-nz}} The school is located in the suburb of Northcross, in the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. Sherwood School, the neighboring primary school (years 1 – 6) directly next to Northcross Intermediate, opened in 1976, 6 years after Northcross Intermediate opened.{{cite journal|date=9 July 2001|title=Sherwood Primary School|journal=Education Gazette New Zealand}} Both Northcross and Sherwood Primary share the same field.
