History
In 1942, Eugen Propper and his partner merged Hadagan with two other factories, Assisit and Itrit, to create Osem. The name's origin is in the prayer of the High Priest on Yom Kippur at the time of the Temple in Jerusalem on leaving the Holy of Holies.{{Cite web |last=Osem Nestlé USA |title=About Osem |url=https://www.osem-nestleusa.com/about-osem |url-status=live |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20230507123000/https://www.osem-nestleusa.com/about-osem |archive-date=May 7, 2023 |access-date=1 March 2024 |website=Osem Nestlé USA}}{{Cite web |last=World of Judaica |title=Osem Origins |url=https://www.worldofjudaica.com/israeli-kosher-food/osem |url-status=live |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20230519174343/https://www.worldofjudaica.com/israeli-kosher-food/osem |archive-date=May 19, 2023 |access-date=1 March 2024 |website=World of Judaica}}{{Cite web |title=Machzor Yom Kippur Ashkenaz Linear, Musaf for Yom Kippur, The Avodah Service 537 |url=https://www.sefaria.org/Machzor_Yom_Kippur_Ashkenaz_Linear,_Musaf_for_Yom_Kippur,_The_Avodah_Service.537?vhe=The_Metsudah_Machzor._Metsudah_Publications,_New_York&lang=bi&lookup=be%20a%20year%20in%20which%20Your%20good%20treasure%20%D7%AA%D6%BC%D6%B4%D7%A4%D6%B0%D7%AA%D6%BC%D6%B7%D7%97%20%D7%9C%D6%B8%D6%BD%D7%A0%D7%95%D6%BC.%20will%20be%20opened%20for%20us,&with=Lexicon&lang2=en |url-status=live |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20240302055136/https://www.sefaria.org/Machzor_Yom_Kippur_Ashkenaz_Linear%2C_Musaf_for_Yom_Kippur%2C_The_Avodah_Service.548?vhe=The_Metsudah_Machzor._Metsudah_Publications,_New_York&lang=bi&with=all&lang2=en |archive-date=2 March 2024 |access-date=2 March 2024 |website=Sefaria}}
