Meaning
Baker has been quoted as saying the song is about "a poor South American farmer who works hard all day and then sits by a tree and dreams of being a white bird with its freedom."{{cite news |newspaper=Greeley Daily Tribune |issue=February 7, 1976 |page=11 |title=What's in a name? |url=https://newspaperarchive.com/greeley-daily-tribune-feb-07-1976-p-11/ |access-date=14 September 2019 |url-status=live |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20190913232837/http://newspaperarchive.com/greeley-daily-tribune-feb-07-1976-p-11/ |archive-date=13 September 2019}}
