The Paraavis Pegasus is a Russian paramotor, designed and produced by Paraavis of Moscow for powered paragliding. The aircraft is supplied complete and ready-to-fly.Bertrand, Noel; Rene Coulon; et al: World Directory of Leisure Aviation 2003-04, page 71. Pagefast Ltd, Lancaster UK, 2003. ISSN 1368-485X

Design and development

The Pegasus was designed to comply with the US FAR 103 Ultralight Vehicles rules as well as European regulations. It features a paraglider-style wing, single-place accommodation and a single engine in pusher configuration. Early versions were powered by a Solo 210 {{convert|16|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}} motor with a 2.5:1 ratio reduction drive and a {{convert|123|cm|in|0|abbr=on}} diameter two-bladed wooden propeller. Later versions feature a Cors'Air M21Y {{convert|25|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}} motor and a {{convert|124|cm|in|0|abbr=on}} diameter two-bladed wooden propeller. The fuel tank capacity is {{convert|8|L}}, while later versions offer an option of {{convert|15|L}}. The aircraft is built in two versions, one predominantly from aluminium and the other from titanium.{{cite web|url=http://www.paraavis.com/en/paramotors/pegasus.html|title=Pegasus|work=paraavis.com|accessdate=10 November 2015}}

As is the case with all paramotors, take-off and landing is accomplished by foot. Inflight steering is accomplished via handles that actuate the canopy brakes, creating roll and yaw.
