Following the 2022 Canadian federal electoral redistribution the riding will be renamed Pickering—Brooklin. The new riding will lose the Township of Uxbridge to the new York—Durham riding, and will gain the portion of the Town of Whitby north of Highway 407 from the Whitby riding. It will be contested under the new name and boundaries in the 2025 federal election.{{cite web |title=York--Durham: Final boundaries |url=https://redecoupage-redistribution-2022.ca/com/on/fbnd/35121/index_e.aspx |website= Redistribution 2022 |publisher= Federal Distribution |access-date=February 28, 2025}}{{cite web |title=Whitby: Final boundaries |url= https://redecoupage-redistribution-2022.ca/com/on/fbnd/35116/index_e.aspx |website= Redistribution 2022 |publisher= Federal Distribution |access-date=February 28, 2025}}{{Cite web | title=Pickering—Brooklin – Final boundaries - Federal Electoral Districts Redistribution | url=https://redecoupage-redistribution-2022.ca/com/on/fbnd/35087/index_e.aspx | access-date=2025-03-27 | website=redecoupage-redistribution-2022.ca}}
