Pittsburg is an unincorporated community in Tippecanoe Township, Carroll County, Indiana. It is part of the Lafayette, Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History

Pittsburg was laid out in 1836.{{cite book|last=Odell|first=John Curtis|title=History of Carroll County, Indiana: Its People, Industries and Institutions|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=QG03AQAAMAAJ&pg=PA87|year=1916|publisher=B.F. Bowen|page=87}} A post office was established at Pittsburg in 1838, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1915. Geography

Pittsburg is located on the west side of the Wabash River across from the town of Delphi. U.S. Route 421/State Road 39 passes through town on Monroe Street.
