Placia or Plakia or Placie or Plakie ({{langx|grc|Πλακίη}}), also known as Placa or Plaka or Place or Plake (Πλάκη),{{Cite Stephanus|s.v.}} was a town of ancient Mysia, on the coast of the Propontis, at the foot of the Mysian Olympus east of Cyzicus. It was a Pelasgian town; in this place and the neighbouring Scylace, the Pelasgians, according to Herodotus, had preserved their ancient language down to his time.{{Cite Herodotus|1.57}} The town is mentioned in the Periplus of Pseudo-Scylax, and by Pomponius Mela,{{Cite Mela|1.19}} Dionysius of Halicarnassus[https://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/text?doc=urn:cts:greekLit:tlg0081.tlg001.perseus-grc1:1.29.3 Dionysius of Halicarnassus, Roman Antiquities, § 1.29.3] and Pliny the Elder.{{Cite Pliny|5.40}}
