Pleasant Valley is a city in Marion County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 3,506 at the 2020 census.
Geography
Pleasant Valley is located at {{coord|39|27|5|N|80|8|57|W|type:city}} (39.451522, -80.149085).{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=United States Census Bureau|access-date=2011-04-23|date=2011-02-12|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}} It is immediately south of the larger city and county seat of Fairmont, West Virginia. The city is also adjacent to the Tygart Valley River.

The population density was {{convert|974.9|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 1,513 housing units at an average density of {{convert|468.4|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the city was 95.9% White, 1.4% African American, 0.1% Native American, 1.1% Asian, 0.2% from other races, and 1.3% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.6% of the population.
There were 1,401 households, of which 26.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.0% were married couples living together, 11.1% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.0% had a male householder with no wife present, and 37.9% were non-families. 30.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.21 and the average family size was 2.76.
The median age in the city was 40.5 years. 21.2% of residents were under the age of 18; 8% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 26.2% were from 25 to 44; 28.1% were from 45 to 64; and 16.6% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 48.9% male and 51.1% female.
