Production of pointed cabbage is on the decrease because white cabbage produces higher yields and is easier to process owing to its round shape.{{Cite web |url= https://www.fondazioneslowfood.com/en/ark-of-taste-slow-food/filder-pointed-cabbage/|title=Slow Food Deutschland e.V. ~ Filder-Spitzkraut |work=www.fondazioneslowfood.com |access-date=26 October 2016}}
