|text=Røros is a town and municipality in the county of Sør-Trøndelag, Norway. Røros was established as a municipality January 1, 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). It was split in four municipalities January 1, 1926 (Røros town, Røros landsogn, Brekken and Glåmos), but these four was merged together again January 1, 1964.
