Portal talk:Current events/News Browser#Rotate the image

At the moment this subpage of Portal:Current events uses image 32px (:File:Ambox globe.svg), created by {{u|penubag}}. The image is centered on Europe and Africa. What if the globe rotated depending on current time, roughly following the Earth's rotation? Switching every eight hours between three images seems like a good idea, in the same way as emojies of Earth globe have three views: 32px 32px 32px.

The current style of the icon has the borders of 32px and map contours of 32px. If this idea is picked up, I would prefer :File:Ambox globe Americas.svg and :File:Ambox globe Asia Australia.svg to be created used for this purpose. —⁠andrybak (talk) 22:09, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
