Profundiconus is a genus of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Conidae, the cone snails and their allies.Bouchet, P. (2011). Profundiconus Kuroda, 1956. As the name of the genus suggests, these species live in deep water. This genus is the type genus of the subfamily Profundiconinae Limpalaër & Monnier, 2018. This is an alternate representation for the family Conidae.
