Career

As mentioned in a recent E! News interview with Tice about the creation of "Black Parade", the music conjured up images of a royal procession very early in the song creation process. Upon hearing the initial horn arrangement, Tice recalled they mentioned that it "sound[ed] like a parade." Tice continued, "'Can't you see her just like on some elephant or something ridiculously fabulous with all her jewels and everything?' and [the song process] just kind of started like that'".{{cite web | url=https://www.eonline.com/ca/news/1247610/the-inside-story-of-beyonces-black-parade-the-most-nominated-song-at-the-2021-grammys | title=The Inside Story of Beyoncé's "Black Parade," the Most Nominated Song at the 2021 Grammys | date=March 13, 2021 | access-date=April 29, 2023 | archive-date=April 29, 2023 | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20230429225115/https://www.eonline.com/ca/news/1247610/the-inside-story-of-beyonces-black-parade-the-most-nominated-song-at-the-2021-grammys | url-status=live }}
