Rostrum Peak is a {{Convert|3284|m|ft|abbr=off|adj=on}} mountain summit located in the Canadian Rockies of British Columbia, Canada. Rostrum is the highest summit of the Bush Mountain massif. Its nearest higher peak is Christian Peak, {{convert|13.5|km|mi|abbr=on}} to the north-northeast. Icefall Peak lies {{convert|2|km|mi|abbr=on}} to the north-northwest. The peak was named in 1918 for its resemblance to a rostrum, and was officially adopted in 1924 when approved by the Geographical Names Board of Canada. Geology
Rostrum Peak is composed of sedimentary rock laid down during the Precambrian to Jurassic periods. Formed in shallow seas, this sedimentary rock was pushed east and over the top of younger rock during the Laramide orogeny.{{citation|title=Geology of the Rocky Mountains and Columbias |author=Gadd, Ben |year=2008}}
Climate
Based on the Köppen climate classification, Rostrum Peak is located in a subarctic climate zone with cold, snowy winters, and mild summers.{{cite journal | author = Peel, M. C. |author2=Finlayson, B. Precipitation runoff from the peak drains into tributaries of the Valenciennes River.
