Early life and education
Lamani is from Khanderayanahalli, Haveri district. His father Manappa is a farmer. He completed his graduation in 1982 from a college affiliated with Karnatak University and later did his LLB. Career
Lamani was elected in the Haveri Assembly constituency representing the Indian National Congress in the 2023 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election. Lamani was elected unopposed as the Deputy Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly in July 2023.{{Cite web |last=Sastry |first=Shruthi H.
