SignalFx is a SaaS-based monitoring and analytics company headquartered in San Mateo, California. It provides capabilities for analyzing, visualizing, automating, and alerting on metrics data from infrastructure, applications, microservices, containers, and functions.{{cite web | url=https://techcrunch.com/2015/03/12/signalfx-emerges-from-stealth-to-modernize-cloud-application-monitoring/ | title=SignalFX Emerges From Stealth To Modernize Cloud Application Monitoring | publisher=Techcrunch | date=12 March 2015 | accessdate=15 June 2016 | author=Ron Miller}}{{cite web | url=http://www.officelovin.com/2015/11/02/a-look-inside-signalfxs-new-san-mateo-office/ | title=A Look Inside SignalFX's New San Mateo Headquarters | date=2 November 2015 | publisher=Office lovin | accessdate=15 June 2016}} The platform uses a streaming architecture that separates metric data points into two streams: one for metadata and one for time-series values. These data streams are routed through a pub-sub bus to SignalFlow, an analytics language accessible via the SignalFx GUI and programmable APIs. The platform is designed to process metrics data, capable of handling millions of data points per second at a 1-second resolution, with latency typically less than 2 seconds from ingestion to alerting.{{cite web | url=http://thenewstack.io/signalfx-a-saas-to-monitor-apps-at-any-scale/ | title=SignalFx, a SaaS to Monitor Apps at Any Scale | publisher=The New Stack. | accessdate=15 June 2016 | author=Alex Williams| date=12 March 2015 }}{{cite web | url=http://siliconangle.com/blog/2015/03/12/signalfx-exits-stealth-with-a-whole-new-approach-to-application-monitoring/ | title=SignalFx exits stealth with a whole new approach to application monitoring | publisher=Silicon Angle | date=12 March 2015 | accessdate=15 June 2016 | author=Paul Gillin}}
