The river flows initially northwards, bending to the NNE after a stretch, and then to the northeast.{{cite web|url=https://maps.vlasenko.net/smtm1000/q-49_50.jpg|title=Топографска карта Q-49 50; M 1:1 000 000 - Topographic USSR Chart (in Russian)|access-date=29 April 2022}} Finally it bends again to the north and meets the right bank of the Olenyok {{convert|1351|km|mi|abbr=on}} from its mouth. The confluence is downstream of Olenyok village, one of the few inhabited localities of the area.{{cite web|url=https://maps.vlasenko.net/smtm1000/r-49_50.jpg|title=Топографска карта R-49 50; M 1:1 000 000 - Topographic USSR Chart (in Russian)|access-date=29 April 2022}} The river is frozen between early October and the second half of May.[https://web.archive.org/web/20090330190139/http://www.nature.ykt.ru/RIAC/Yakutia_geogr/017.htm#%D0%A1%D0%B8%D0%BB%D0%B8%D0%B3%D0%B8%D1%80 nature.ykt.ru (Силигир)]
