Critical reception

Upon release, Sing It All Away has garnered positive reviews from critics. Stephen Thompson of NPR stated that the album's material "fits neatly alongside the music that inspired it, with tiny strands of disparate genres and influences woven in".{{cite web|url=https://www.npr.org/2015/06/07/412040435/first-listen-walk-off-the-earth-sing-it-all-away|title=Review: Walk Off The Earth, 'Sing It All Away' : NPR|last=Thompson|first=Stephen|publisher=NPR|date=June 7, 2015|accessdate=December 20, 2015}} However, AllMusic's Marcy Donelson gave a mixed review, giving the album three out of five stars. She stated that the album at some points could be "distracting or delightful", but at the same time praised its songwriting for its sophisticated tone.{{cite web|url=http://www.allmusic.com/album/sing-it-all-away-mw0002845818|title=Sing It All Away - Walk Off the Earth|publisher=AllMusic|accessdate=December 20, 2015}}
