Career
In 2005, she starred in Loverboy. While directing Loverboy, Kevin Bacon decided to cast Sosie in the film. Asked about the choice, he said that he made the decision as a director, not as a father, because he believed his daughter was perfect for the role, and "Sosie was cool. She kind of got it out of her system. She said 'Oh, that was fun—now I'm going back to school'." Sosie portrayed the main character Emily in a flashback, while the adult Emily was portrayed by Sosie's mother Kyra Sedgwick.{{cite news |last=Hill |first=Logan |title=Family Man: Kevin Bacon |url=http://nymag.com/movies/profiles/17248/ |accessdate=March 13, 2012 |newspaper=New York |date=June 11, 2006}}{{cite news |last=Roman |first=Julian |title=Kevin Bacon Talks Loverboy |url=http://www.movieweb.com/news/kevin-bacon-talks-loverboy |accessdate=March 13, 2012 |newspaper=MovieWeb |date=June 14, 2006}} As Emily, Sosie sang an a cappella version of the David Bowie song "Life on Mars?", that was described in a review from The New York Times as "grotesquely funny".{{cite news |last=Holden |first=Stephen |title=A Motherly Love So Strong It Delights, Then Frightens, in 'Loverboy' |url=https://movies.nytimes.com/2006/06/16/movies/16love.html |accessdate=March 13, 2012 |newspaper=The New York Times |date=June 16, 2006}}{{cite news |last=Westal |first=Bob |title=Loverboy |url=http://www.filmthreat.com/reviews/6869/ |accessdate=March 13, 2012 |newspaper=Film Threat |date=June 19, 2006}} Her brother, Travis Bacon, was cast in a smaller role in the film.{{cite news |last=Rhea |first=Steven |title=Bacon film explores a dark side of family |url=https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=6TEzAAAAIBAJ&sjid=0ggGAAAAIBAJ&pg=6810,8597513&dq&hl=en |accessdate=March 13, 2012 |newspaper=The Free Lance–Star |date=June 27, 2006}} Kevin praised Sosie's work on Loverboy, but said that he would not be encouraging her to pursue acting further.{{cite news |last=Bacon |first=Kevin |title=Bacon Wrecks Daughter's Acting Dreams By Putting Her In Movie |url=http://www.contactmusic.com/news-article/bacon-wrecks-daughter.s-acting-dreams-by-putting-her-in-movie |accessdate=March 18, 2012 |date=December 29, 2012}}
