Strančice is a municipality and village in Prague-East District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,900 inhabitants.

Etymology

Geography

Strančice is located about {{convert|15|km|0}} southeast of Prague. It lies in the Benešov Uplands. The highest point is at {{convert|492|m|ft|abbr=on}} above sea level.

History

The first written mention of Strančice is from 1404.
