The Swift 008.a is an open-wheel formula racing car, designed, developed and built by American company Swift Engineering, for use in the Formula Atlantic spec-series, between 1998 and 2001. It was powered by a naturally aspirated {{cvt|1.6|L|cuin}} Toyota 4A-GE four-cylinder engine, producing {{cvt|240|hp|kW}}, which drove the rear wheels through a 5-speed Hewland NST sequential gearbox. It was succeeded by the 014.a in 2002.{{Cite web|url=https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1998-swift-008014-formula-atlantic/|title=1998 Swift 008/014 Formula Atlantic}}{{Cite web|url=https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/Details/85999/swift-08-14-formula-atlantic|title=Swift 08 / 14 Formula Atlantic|website=racecarsdirect.com|date=24 October 2023 }}{{Cite book|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=vFhLmxHsxBoC&dq=swift+008.a&pg=PA246|title=American Society for Composites / American Society for Testing And Materials Committee D30: Nineteenth Technical Conference|first1=Erian|last1=Armanios|first2=James|last2=Reeder|date=October 20, 2004|publisher=DEStech Publications, Inc|isbn=9781932078442 |via=Google Books}}
