Request received to merge articles: Han Taiwanese and Hoklo Taiwanese into Demographics of Taiwan; dated: 04/2023. Proposer's Rationale: Major overlap with existing articles, a thin concept with limited sources that could easily fit into a paragraph. Discuss here. MarvelousPeach (talk) 10:28, 28 April 2023 (UTC)

:Oppose, as the current structure seems to work sufficiently well for readers. Ethnic identity isn't a thin concept, and the Han Taiwanese is well-referenced. Klbrain (talk) 14:04, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

:Oppose, but support merging Hoklo Taiwanese to Han Taiwanese. --Glennznl (talk) 14:27, 4 October 2023 (UTC)

:Oppose, This article is already clustered. 173.168.100.26 (talk) 23:57, 19 October 2023 (UTC)

:Oppose, as current article is well-referenced, but support merging Hoklo Taiwanese and Hakka Taiwanese to Han Taiwanese. Butterdiplomat (talk) 19:17, 9 December 2023 (UTC)

:Rather than merge the Hoklo and Hakka articles to Han Taiwanese, perhaps it might be better to merge them to the existing sections on Taiwanese people#Hoklo and Taiwanese people#Hakka where there are already large sections that link to these article with a main template, but are themselves larger than the stand-alone pages. I would object to a merge to Han Taiwanese, but that merge would great more duplication between the Han Taiwanese and the Taiwanese people#Major socio-cultural subgroups section.
